That seems to be a very interesting book. What a tragedy. When people hear even the suggestion of suicide, they blow it off as something that is trivial and not to be talked about because someone may try it. That is the opposite case however. If someone talks about suicide you should listen and ask if they have been thinking about it. If they say something, have them seek help right away.
