SSG Jessica Bautista - It sure does. Those "pectoral fins" that your screenshot talks about are very useful. They still are not wings.

PFC Jim Wheeler - Still function as wings. You know what they say, "If it quacks like a duck and walks like a duck, then the fish has wings". I may be paraphrasing.

SSG Jessica Bautista - Sure, under the broadest definitions of flight and wing.
That doesn't change the aptness of the idiom and it also does not change the fact that the ACA has never provided healthcare.

His conclusions are not entirely true.
I haven't worked my way through their whole plan yet.
However, I'm certainly not in the top 10% and I would get a tax break from the repeal of the ACA, even if they pass their "plan."

PFC Jim Wheeler - Beats me. Maybe they'll accept kidneys.
Per the House bill, those with lapses in insurance cannot be denied coverage, as in previous iterations of the GOP plan. But they can be charged more, starting in 2019 (or 2018 for those gaining coverage during a special enrollment period). Enrollees cannot have gone 63 continuous days (or more) without coverage, or they would pay a 30% penalty on premiums.

SSG Jessica Bautista - To me, that reads like "if you let your coverage lapse, when you reenroll for coverage you must pay 30% more."
If that is the case, since I cannot afford the coverage, not having it will not cost me a cent.

SSG Jessica Bautista - That doesn't change anything for my family at all. We can't afford it under the Dem's version or under the Rep's version. The only difference for me is that the Rep's version doesn't impose a yearly tax.
