The Arab spring movement was basically a democracy movement that was hijacked by the Islamic religious right. The military tends to be nonsectarian and has a low tolerance for democratically elected leaders who pose a threat to secular society.
It's quite the conundrum when people use Democratic means to elect officials who don't support liberal democratic ideals.

SSG (Join to see) - Are you asking me if I think we should? I think with our current administration, we should just sit back a bit and let it play out and hope for the best. Our current administration has not done very well on foreign policy and in world politics in general.
