By the same token, a military member convicted of adultery, a felony in the military, would not be allowed to own a firearm. Personally, I just don't find all felonies equal.

Same goes for one convicted of domestic violence. Any felony should get one discharged from military service with a permanent record but we know that’s not always the case. Plea deals and forced retirements happen.
