From the people who brought you "Fake News", we now have "Fake Nielsen Ratings". Either that or the folks at NBC, ABC, and CBS really need to learn how to spell. According to the article NBC misspelled the title of its news show "NBC Nightly News" 14 [freaking] times since the current TV season began last fall. Apparently ABC and CBS have been caught using the same trick, which hides individual episodes with poor ratings. Why would such honorable institutions stoop to this level of deceit? Money i.e. to fool advertisers into thinking their commercial will be seen by more people than actually watch the show, so they will pay more. When asked about the practice, an NBC spokesperson told The Wall Street Journal that the retitlings were "standard industry practice." Which is the equivalent to saying...we hide the truth all the time, when it is in our best interest.
