I think it is great to let them try. As long as the standards are not lowered. But, the next thing you know, the PFT will be changed. It will be called gender neutral, or some other BS.
Didn't the Marine Corp do that? Yeah. That's right.
Did I upset anyone? Do I need to go to compassion and sensitivity training for a fourth time?
When the enemy knows you are physically weak, they will close with you. You will not be able to use your air power. Game over.

No it will not, they did not cahnge for Divers, EOD and AIIRR, that is what took so long to have some pass those programs. The Navy is hard on that at least for special programs. The test for those have never changed even when woman tried out.

I wish them luck. The reality is is that this is a numbers game. It's gonna take 100 female candidates before one passes.

Tony, I worked in SF or SOF for the majority of my adult life so I think I have a little knowledge on the subject. I have worked with some of the fairer sex badasses even in combat zones. They were not SF, Rangers or SEALs but they were complete badasses at what they did. Because of the their competence many bad guys are no longer a threat here on earth.
HOWEVER! if any person, regardless of gender, religion, or ethnicity the standards are there for a reason. The standards are there because at some point in the past someone faced similar task and mission and or life depended on meeting the "standards".
I have wrestled with this for years but the bottom line is if they want be a whatever, SEAL, MARSOC, RANGER, SF its simple meet the standard. It should be non negotiable.

The problem with today's society is that no one wants to acknowledge that there has to be a loser. Unfortunately, America and Americans may have to suffer greatly before they once again come to this realization.

Robert unfortunately no one with any clout listens to me but not unlike many dont give a shit if a woman becomes a Ranger, SEAL, SF or DELTA or SEAL #6. But people MUST understand the standards were placed there for capabilities not sex. We all had/have different strengths and weaknesses but everyone met the minimum standards.
It is kind of like, I am not a pilot but always wanted to be one and I dont think I could pass flight school but I really want to be a pilot. Maybe they could adjust the STANDARDS for me. See that does not even make sense, same same. It is clear as day to me.

SSG Robert Webster - Not with NSW they already had two try and failed. Navy has had mixed special Programs for over twenty years now in thier other Specail Operations Programs. EOD, Diver and AIIR Swimmers and they did not cahnge any test or rquierments, it took almost ten years a female EOD Tech to pass, and in my community it took twelve years for a UCT Diver to pass.
