There was a time when our focus was going after and destroying AQN... and the argument made in this is we are now too busy with IS to attack the AN group being it is mission creep. Of course there is the other point not said by either side in this as to for the Russians it is about regime survival - with other factors coming 2d... and for that reason having a joint structure with the Russians would not be good for either side when targets may well be warned.
