U.S. Military Observers And Why They Are Needed In Ukraine - War on the Rocks

Our problem is we have this "desire" to classify everything - and fail in some of those things needing to be not classified so that they can be discussed and addressed by DoD and the nation and our allies. We would have to do it Unclass as observations - and so allow for the information we see to be looked at -- instead of limiting who can see it and where and what can be even discussed. If the Russians know it and the Ukrainians know it - who exactly is it being classified from knowing it by ourselves? With Unclass observations and lessons learned - it gets into the discussions of far more people and solutions begin to get worked on in different places.
