U.S. Navy guided-missile destroyer started transit into the Black Sea

U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa has reported that Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Porter (DDG 78) began its transit into the Black Sea.

According to a statement released on Thursday, USS Porter began its north-bound transit to the Black Sea August 8, 2019, to enhance regional maritime stability and a show of support for our NATO allies and partners in the region.
