I sincerely hope not.... that is actually depressing to be honest. Too much loss of life for something as simple as basic seamanship. I was talking to another Navy vet today, and they had the thought that the sailors today have so much technology at hand, that they have forgotten how to sail and take action by the Mk 1 Mod 0 Eyeball. There are only 2 things you can do, change course or change speed. That's it.

I just wonder at the security of those ships. They HAD to have left crew as guards to prevent the civvies from nosing around, yeah? (FYI as you know, I agree with you. We've just said it all at this point imo.)

SN Greg Wright - There is a leave behind crew. I volunteered to ride Cole back in the day. Engineers and security, although sometimes it is tighter security than we can provide, if you get my drift...
