Words matter. The Left constantly redefines words to confuse those who don't know better. They hide behind labels that they have purloined from honest folk. Liberal. No, the Left is not Liberal as in liberty loving. That is why education is so important and it has long been their primary target. If we can only remove one piece of scum from "The Swamp" let it be the US Dept of Education.

Susan Foster - Susan,
It would probably help to understand my anger if you knew that the people who did this were neighbors across the driveway for 25 years. Our kids teethe don some of the same toys. I always took care of their driveway in the winter... never a thank you.
Their driveway is 7 feet wide. Mine is 16. I would bring my truck tractor home from time to time. Didn't run it. Just needed to do minor chores ect.
For over 20 years. They decided they didn't like my truck.. They are bad people. Many bad floods took our neighborhood apart... these people couldn't wait for others homes to be torn down to improve their view. Even when the homes weren't going to be removed for several years they would come and tell me how excited they were. These homes belonged to people and families like ourselves. People whose kids grew up with ours, people who would have never left. The neighbors gloried in the demolition.
They never participated in anything.
They built a brand new garage shortly before starting the trouble.
After the trouble they found out that they were never going to use their new garage again.
Sick people. Catholics who would vote for an abortionist.

PO3 John Wagner - It sounds like you got some rotten neighbors, and I'm sorry you had this awful experience. My point is that if people are a**holes, it isn't because of their politics, or their religion. They just are a**holes, despite either. My good friend had almost the same experience with hers and they were as right wing as they come. I have some liberal friends who are the kindest and most giving people you would every know, and many on the right who are too. And yes, some on both sides who are butts. I just don't think it's got much to do with their beliefs about who they vote for, but much more about their personal values. If we could somehow judge people on themselves first and then find out later what their politics were, we as a country probably wouldn't be so divided. And anyone who doesn't like trucks are warped anyway. LOL

Social Justice Warrior.
There is a great book out there.
The title tells it all "Social Justice Warriors always lie"
Look into it.
You are right. They were always sick/selfish/crazy/controlling

. What bothers me as a conservative is how far we have come from “ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country”. To where we are now. When I was growing up your job was to grow up to look after and provide for your family. Today it is the government’s responsibility. I truly feel America is doomed. We are $20 trillion dollars in debt. We have two choices, drastically cut spending or print money. We have people saying we need to let more people into America who aren’t skilled and will have trouble looking after themselves. How long can we keep this up?

Be of good cheer. There's reason to hope. I learned that lesson last week. I'm working on my own weblog posting that I will share on RP, hopefully later today, explaining what I discovered. Look for it...

Ask neither question... the answer to what can I do for my country will be provided for you soon enough wether you asked or not. John Kennedy was a great man and a real world class gunslinger...he knew how to handle the big stick. He and his brother Robert were also deeply flawed liberals with progressive tendencies.
As the years go by I wonder more and more often if those tendencies in combination with their enormous popularity were not the cause of their murders.

"Wouldn’t it be better just to blow the whole thing up and start all over?" If that's your idea of being conservative then something's wrong with this picture. Blowing it all up is the opposite of conservation. Sounds more like anarchy to me. Or defeatism. Or Rapture i.e. end of time.

SSG Diane R. - I think anyone who advocates "blow[ing] the whole thing up" has some obligation to offer at least the framework of a viable alternative. Until you do, I find this hard to consider as anything more than verbal graffiti lacking in merit. So what is your proposal?
