Who cares what it's tied to?? The people need our assistance. Are we supposed to say "nope, not gonna get it" because it's included in a GOVERNMENT-WIDE spending bill?

SSG (Join to see) That's the only way they can get it passed is to shove it into another bill as pork.

Cpl Vic Burk - Not sure about that, there seemed to be a bipartisan effort on this but now they are sticking it on a domestic bill maybe that is the way they can pass the other part.

The answer seems to be in the article.

"Lawmakers had other motivations to approve the $1.5 trillion bill as well. Failure to do so by Saturday would prompt an election-year shutdown of federal agencies, a damaging blow that lawmakers were eager to avoid. And the legislation contained wins for both parties."

They was fast aid to Ukraine but they also had to get this other bill done to avoid a shutdown to they mashed them together so they could deal with both.

Do not fall for the tying of multiple bills. The government has lied to the country multiple times, said the bills won't cost a single penny and all three at the top have proven themselves to be worthless at leadership. They have lowered the credibility of our nation to its lowest point in my 65-years.
