MAJ Ken Landgren that's why I'm upset with the president by the inflation reduction Act. It has hidden in there 320 billion dollars plus that could have been used to prop up our military. Sure, we have an 10% increase in our budget but President Biden has increased inflation by over 13% since he took office. He may have helped the military a little bit with taking oil out of the strategic petroleum reserve but now prices are going back up and China is reawakening after it's covided lockdown so the US military will be hard pressed to maintain it's forces if it's paying ever more for diesel gasoline etc period my oil company stocks are back up again.

$369 billion could be used to keep about 20 vessels that they want to put into the reserve fleet. That money could also have been used to upgrade our tank course since we're now going to be giving away 30 to 40 tanks to Ukraine though it may take them three or four years to get them. Taiwan purchased 107 Abrams tanks but they're only received a couple of them last summer so I wonder if this means that the tanks meant for Taiwan are being diverted to Ukraine instead? Can you imagine getting tank Crews up to speed when they don't have any tanks and I don't think they'll be able to pass tcgst or Tank table 7 if they have to wait or if they're given a really short training.

Others here have complained that it takes almost a year to get armor soldiers up to speed with the combined arms force of mechanized Infantry and artillery. So promising all this equipment will only be expedited if they got it or take it away from the National Guard units or cannibalize and active duty arm of battalion. I don't know if this is being taken out of the preposition stocks in NATO countries?

Listening to General Jack Keane talk about this, he says the USA and other Allies of Ukraine should make every effort to help them get this war with Russia a quick and decisive victory so that we will be able to get out of this drip drip of giving money to support the war effort. Sounded good to me...
