It doesn't matter what the UN does. Any treaty would need to be ratified by the US Senate, which ain't gonna happen.
Also, the UN can't do anything without the US contribution to it's bloated and bureaucratic government, so if they want to get froggy, we can explain it to them in a manner that they are sure to hear.

Agreed, however, remember the climate accord, and all the brouhaha when Trump tore it up. It was never ratified, but Obama used executive fiat and declared it in effect, issuing EOs to enforce it's provisions. The Democrats, (and a few Republicans), were fine with that. When you read the article, note that the EU has already given it the force of law, even for the members who did not sign. Just an indication of things to come. Maybe not tomorrow, or the next day, but it will come.

PO1 Kevin Dougherty I doubt that very sincerely. The EU ain't the USA. And as the UK showed us, the EU isn't all its cracked up to be either.
