Very good article and post CMSgt Parrish. One thing that I truly loved about military service is that in a way, we are able to deprogram (in most cases) the young men and women that we trained and lived with, in order to make them think critically and logically. The only time I ever considered feelings, was when I had to reprimand someone and I did it in private. Well that is unless they were doing something so stupid it could cause injury or death to another. I knew this at age 23 because I had excellent senior NCO's to show me the way. But then again too, that was back in the early 80's. Life was different when it came to new soldiers back then.
