Thanks for reminding us TSgt Joe C. that on June 18, 1864 that Colonel Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain, who commanded the 20th Maine Infantry Regiment to distinction at the Battle of Gettysburg, was severely wounded at Petersburg, Virginia as he typically led a charge.
Not surprisingly this war hero was elected four terms as governor of Maine and then he became president of Bowdoin College.

TSgt Joe C. thanks for the historical share/read once again: Union war hero Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain is severely wounded at Petersburg, Virginia, while leading an attack on a Confederate position. Chamberlain, a college professor from Maine, took a sabbatical to enlist in the Union army.
