If you want to find a bad example of gov’t healthcare, just look at the VA.

There are easier ways to close gaps then to completely throw out what you have and start over again. I am perfectly happy with my employer paid for plan. Medicare is enough right now to cover me after retirement (in part), I can buy additional insurance to close gaps. I think the government should look at funding pre-existing conditions as well as unplanned catostrophic healthcare issues. The rest they should leave to private insurers.
