Is Rep. Jim Jordan among the least effective members of Congress? Researchers at the Center for Effective Lawmaking - a joint project between academics at the University of Virginia and Vanderbilt University - seem to think so.
The organization last week released a report evaluating how successful individual Congress members were at moving their legislative agenda items through Congress over the past two years. It examined the bills each member sponsored, whether they advanced through the legislative process and were signed into law, and the significance of that legislation. It ranked members within their own parties to avoid penalizing those in the legislative minority.

William Barr, (using a CIA alias Robert Johnson), told CIA agent Terry Reed that Attorney General Edwin Meese had appointed Michael Fitzhugh to be US Attorney in Western Arkansas, and that he would stonewall any investigation into the Mena, Arkansas drug-related activities. This obstruction of justice by Justice Department officials did occur. Reed discloses more in his book, Compromised. After Congress passed the Boland Amendment in 1982 (to go into effect fall, 1983) the Republican Reagan Administration worked hand in hand with Governor of Arkansas Bill Clinton to fly weapons to the Nicaraguan contras from Mena, AR airport.
Barr also stonewalled investigations in the Banca Nationale del Lavoro (BNL), another CIA drug bank. Barr himself had a personal relationship with BCCI going back to the early 1980s.
According to author Rodney Stich: “before William Barr came to the Justice Department, he was an attorney with the Washington law firm of Shaw Pittman Potts & Trowbridge. This law firm represented BCCI for several years…Barr’s former law firm also represented B. Francis Saul II, a director and powerful shareholder in Financial General Bankshares, Inc. Financial later became First American Bankshares, a covert BCCI operation…
Financial General Bankshares was part of a plan by rich Saudis to own a US bank and thereby to launder billions of profits from heroin drug trafficking back into the world economy.
AG Bill Barr was a member of Vice President George HW Bush’s criminal conspiracy, the Iran/Contra Enterprise and CIA drug trafficking.

A federal judge criticized Attorney General William Barr on Thursday for his handling of the Mueller report when it was released last spring, saying Barr's early description of the report didn't match the special counsel's actual conclusions.
