I wouldn't call US Army veteran SSG David Bellavia an unsung hero since Task & Purpose summarized what happened on Nov. 10, 2004 during the Second Battle of Fallujah based on the book of his memoirs he co-wrote with author John R. Bruning named “House to House: An Epic Memoir of War” SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL/
I would certainly consider SSG David Bellavia to be a hero and his chain of command did as well since he was awarded the "Silver Star for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action, and nominated for a Medal of Honor."
FYI COL Mikel J. Burroughs LTC Stephen C. Capt Seid Waddell CW5 (Join to see) CW5 Charlie Poulton CSM Charles Hayden SGM David W. Carr LOM, DMSM MP SGT SSgt Robert Marx SSG James J. Palmer IV aka "JP4" SSgt (Join to see) TSgt Joe C. SGT John " Mac " McConnell SP5 Mark Kuzinski SGT Forrest Stewart SGT Robert Hawks SPC (Join to see) SrA Christopher Wright
