Upcoming merger gives Army Africa more advocacy in Washington, two-star says

I'm concerned that if it comes to balancing priorities, African issues will be left by the wayside to focus on Russia and Europe driven issues. With that said, the Air Force, Navy, and Marines all have a unified command for their Europe and Africa forces.
I think my concerns will be assuaged as long as they keep US AFRICOM separate from US EUCOM.
