Patience. It sucks, but the problem appears to be being fixed, it just is going to take a week or two longer to get it.

Yeah it’s being fixed by the bank. Once it is in UPS’s custody, it is their responsibility. They lost it they should have to pay for it. Not oh here’s a refund of your $32 shipping fee.

SSG(P) (Join to see) - You're letting your frustration speak. If UPS actually did pay for the check, what would happen to the money in the bank? For that matter, how would UPS know exactly how much to pay?

If I was making the decision for UPS, I'd refund the money that was paid to ship it, and then offer to do next morning delivery for free.

Doesn’t frustrate me...I wasn’t affected. When you ship via UPS and the item is over a certain amount, it has to be declared. So essentially you’re saying let UPS off scott free and giving them maybe $100...$32 for refund, rest for next day shipping. If they lost an item of mine worth this much and this was their response, I would make it my mission to ruin UPS permanently.

Lot's of mistakes by many. They should have wired the money or sent it registered mail. Some ship diamonds registered. Only the addressee can sign for it and you can also insure for the amount. UPS should not be liable for the amount. This was between the owners and bank, and UPS was just caught in the middle.

I would not have sent it via UPS either, but they did send it via UPS and UPS boxes so UPS should be held liable.
