WASHINGTON — The US Army chief will take on a much more central role in the service’s acquisition process to include weekly oversight meetings as part of acquisition reforms, according to the three-star general in charge of funding and equipping the branch.

Hopefully this will improve in cutting back and hopefully eliminated fraud, waste and abuse at the Big Army level.

Not too Sure SGT (Join to see) thats why i wanted to know how it fit in the Big pic. But like CW4 (Join to see) said hopefully its a way to cut back on WFA.

This is a critical move. It was necessary... Currently we are missing on several defense innovations developed by private sector... I hope standard procedures would be developed for screening, early validation and rapid acquisition of products.
