Unfortunately, many of us here will be long gone by the time this committee built vehicle becomes operational. Hope nothing serious develops between now and then.

you may be right. At home in the basement, I looked at a 2002 edition of Air and Space Smithsonian showing ,on the magazine cover, the XF-35 prototype doing a mid-air refueling with a KC-10 or a KC-135. It is now being built and just now getting most of the bugs worked out of it. I still think its not going to be effective in the next war with a like adversary.

I can imagine how it's going to be adding stuff from Rafael Industries and those anti-missile defense systems. All you social justice Warriors and green party people can pound salt because the US military's going to buy from Israel!

If it ain't broke, lets fix it anyways. Didn't we just have a retired Marine LTG pulled out of retirement whoop the hell out of the services in a few days using old "tech" vs. modern "tech"?
