Is anyone really surprised? We gave these systems to the Afghan military to defend themselves, I guarantee you this will be spun by the Taliban and China as a lost war for the Americans, when it was really the Afghan military. If we wanted to, we could turn the whole middle east into glass. I don't see this equipment lasting very long if they don't have the teams to maintain and run them properly, my opinion they will be sold to countries that can.

Helicopters seized along with A-29's...HOWEVER, the logistics tail was not...these things break and quite often...gonna be hard to get parts and such when they do break and all they can do is look at them.

Really a puzzler there. Who in the DOD allowed this to happen?? Someone should loose their stars/position/retirement for this CF!!!
The groundfighters did not loose this one: the enlightened folks in the Pentegon and Washington that tried "soft power" lost this one.
Is it true that the US started this panicked withdrawal without consulting with our coalition allies?? Truly, a sad state of affairs for the US.
