Post-menopausal women are physiologically more fragile than men of the same age, all other things being equal.

Ya can’t buck mother nature, no matter what wishful thinking implies

Seems this Marine has earned the Darwin Award, (No reference as to location) and the Corp would be better off without Him which I'm sure they soon will be. My sympathy to His victim and thank goodness others intervened to save Her. As an American in another country He disgraces all of us by His despicable acts and behavior. He deserves to go to jail !

This Marine is not eligible for the Darwin awards.
"The Darwin Awards are a tongue-in-cheek honor, originating in Usenet newsgroup discussions around 1985. They recognize individuals who have supposedly contributed to human evolution by selecting themselves out of the gene pool via death or sterilization by their own actions."

I agree - totally UNSAT on the part of this 20 year-old idiot - he obviously wasn't the sharpest tool in the box. He knew (or should have known) what the rules were, and he broke them. Now he can do his time in the Aussie prison, unless the Aussies are particularly gracious and give him back to the MRF-D folks, in which case he should be court-martialed and sent to Leavenworth for a long time. Anybody remember when Marines were described as Ambassadors in Green? Still applies. Sure, the Corps gets its share of bad apples - I remember a lot of them. And when they broke the law out in the local community - especially if that community was in another country - it was made into a big thing because folks expected more out of Marines and because Marines, more than the other services, are targeted for any misdeeds in the press. But that's no excuse for what this shithead did - and he should pay. Makes one wish we still had red-line brigs.
