Classifying anything in this part of the Information Age is getting harder and harder. When I can do Photo Intelligence from my Home Computer.

Hello folks...anyone bother to read - these caves have been used for this purpose since the 1980s - nothing secret here, it's on a Norwegian military facility. The stockpile was drawn down beginning at the end of the Cold War, now it's being restocked. Similar to the Army POMCUS sites and Reforger - the sites are well known.

The fact they are there is well known, as well as the existence of Maritime Prepositioned equipment. Procedures for marrying equipment and personnel for these sites as well as the MPS equipment is classified. Used MPS going into Kuwait. Worked like a charm.

This is not new. Forward staging in hardened underground structures has been going on for decades.

I've trained in that area a couple of times. We pulled out brand new humvees from the caves for an exercise.
