US military halts release of data on Taliban-controlled districts | FDD's Long War Journal

There are some things that need not be said or shown.... and then there are some that are. If the question is if it is delaying this information from going to enemy hands... one might ask if the Taliban does not already know which districts they own and which ones they are active in..... The Pakistanis, the Iranians, and the Russians also know.... so the only ones really not to know...... is the US government and public. So if one is not showing that you are able to counter the enemy.... and do as has been done for a decade.... the real question is WHY. Defeat is always a hard pill for any great nation to suffer - and if one is not tracking the Afghan government... might as well figure out what should be tracked or risk the great efforts to turn this being seen as defeat in that perception.
