US officials confirm Israeli strike in Iraq

Israelis are conducting airstrikes in Iraq. Claiming they are Iranian weapons depot but what it sounds like the targets are associated with Shi’a militias which Not surprisingly have the political support of leaders in the predominantly Shi’a nation of Iran. The first question that should be asked “were these sites a threat to Israel?” We already know Shi’a groups in Iraq are aligned with Iran in the same way Sunni groups are aligned with Saudi Arabia.
So unless Iraqi government are sanctioning Israeli military targeting terror groups within their border this doesn’t bode well for peace or at least respectful coexistence.
I get it. Some will say it’s Iran and any tied to Iran is the enemy. Well I wish those same critics held the same standard for anyone of the Saudi regime that has ties to Al Qaeda. I’m done with US picking sides. Every nation in the Middle East has skeletons and we keep getting caught in the middle of their proxy wars.
