If Canada had built a huge border wall and made the US pay for it, they wouldn't have this problem now.

Yeah our relationship to our Neighbor to the North is an Odd Thing. To me it is where we went to show the Flag up the street from PSNS Bremerton to Naval Base Esquimalt or when I had a day off the trip up to Victoria, BC. It is the Canadian Fisherman Kidnapping US Fisherman that they accused of Fishing in Canadian Waters and the 2 Coast Guards having to break up the Children. It is the Porous Border at the Strait of Juan de Fuca and Puget Sound between the US and Canada. It was my Childrens trips up to Vancouver. Yes it is different. The Old Folks going up to Canada to get their Drugs at a Better Price.

Fifteen isn't exactly a staggering number. One of the huge differences is that not a single one of these "resisters" were forced to join the US Military. They signed the contract and then decided, for whatever reason they didn't weant to deploy.
I think most of them were not actually dedicated war resisters, just lint-sucking slugs who wanted to get out of the military period.
The chances are, that upon their return they would probably just get a BCD and little if any brig time.
I say we just mail them an OTH with the stpulation that they become Canadian Citizens. They can suck off the Canadian Government's tit and freeze their ass off 6 months out of the year up in the Great White North.
