Sgt (Join to see) Sorry, I do not understand.
Didn’t the US Military pay a huge price to remove the Japanese from Okinawa?
Why do we just walk away from that purchase?
I am older and recall seeing newsreels in the movie theaters showing portions of that struggle!
“”The Americans bore over 49,000 casualties including 12,520 killed. General Buckner was killed in action on June 18, just days before the battle ended. Japanese losses were even greater—about 110,000 Japanese soldiers lost their lives. It's estimated between 40,000 and 150,000 Okinawa citizens were also killed.””

Sgt Jim Belanus
The Okinawans want us out of there. they didn't like us in the 70's I don't think they like us now. Portions on Kadena has already been turned back, and I'm sure the communist on the island are still causing trouble
