This is so damn sad. Not sure exactly what happen here but regardless rip. On a side not why did he only get an ARCOM for heroism, when I’ve got higher awards for PCS’ing

Pvt. Glendon Oakley, a soldier whose story of heroism during the Aug. 3 mass shooting in El Paso came into question, was found dead at Fort Bliss.

Thanks for sharing Sir. The question is why would he only be awarded a ARCOM for an act of heroism during Peace Time. Maybe a Soldiers Medal? After the story were to break with the possibility of a false story then the award could be revolked.

I honestly don’t have the answer to that question, SFC Santiago. The Soldier wasn’t in my formation and I didn’t know anyone that knew him personally.
