To be honest I think it is weird that Gen. Joseph Dunford, chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, will attend a United Nations meeting on peacekeeping SSgt (Join to see).
I expect he will be insulted by some of those "diplomats" and that little good will come from this.
Ambassadors and diplomats are better geared for UN meetings. There are a lot of cliques in the UN and many of them are decidedly anti-American.
We would do better to focus our military leaders to work to improve our military alliances such as NATO, NORAD, CFC in Korea, and with our allies in New Zeeland and Australia.
