A U.S. service member has been killed and two more wounded in fighting in southern Afghanistan, the Pentagon confirmed.
One American troop died as a result of wounds sustained during operations near Marja in Helmand Province on Tuesday and two others were wounded, according to a statement from the Defense Department.
"We are deeply saddened by this loss," Brig. Gen. Wilson A. Shoffner, a spokesman for U.S. forces in Afghanistan, said in the statement.

Gotta cut the boys loose and let them take care of business or take off their handcuffs so they arr not ambushed. Need a couple Divisions increase in manpower to get the job done.

As long as we have a Potus that continues to make deals with IRAN....as long as IRAN is free to do what it wants....supports ISIS/ISIL....as long as as these things and especially this one country runs a muck, other countries such as Afghanistan and others will need not only our help, but other countries. Yikes...let me stop before I get going.
God bless our soldiers...may the two rest in peace...and Damn it Pentagon...get someone in there to pick up the two wounded Soldiers still on the ground.

The Iranians are Shia and Isis is Sunni so saying Iran supports them would not be accurate. However, there are multiple predominately Sunni countries in the region. It is all a proxy war.
