USA's Pompeo warns of 'imminent' Iran threat on surprise trip to Iraq

It was my understanding the Iraqi government was mostly Shia. Iran is Shia. Part of the reason the Sunni ISIS showed up physically was due to the Shia treating them poorly. At least, in their minds. Two former Saddam Gerneral led ISIS.
I didn't know we had over 5000 troops in Iraq. That is a large number. We need them on our southern border.
I do not know where this situation is going. But I hope our military persons have elevated positions with intersecting fire and avenues of approach.
