USAF Honor Guard - Rubber Chicken Bearing Test

To be a Ceremonial Guardsman in the United States Air Force you have to maintain bearing at all times, even if you have a rubber chicken in front of your face. The instructors at the USAF Honor Guard Tech School constantly challenge the newcoming Airmen's bearing, and the students pay the penalty if they cannot maintain it.

Honestly is squeezing a chicken is the litmus test used to show if you can handle standing at attention for long periods of time, the Army needs this to shut up long winded officers at their Change of Commands. They can't keep thanking every blade of grass on Uranus if they're too busy laughing at a choked chicken.

Funny as can be...they aren't the olny ones that do that...the old guard does as well...they just don't advertise it. They have to withstand every jpossible cue that will make them laugh, cry, sneer etc and distract from what they are doing.
