I am a USCCA member and have the Legal Shield Platinum plan. I love the services that USCCA provides, as well as the informative articles, reviews on firearms and associated gear, and pertinent news regarding firearms laws and such. My money is well spent on USCCA.

The problem I see here is the "reciprocity" would pretty much vitiate prior state and local developed concealed carry rules that meet the needs of their state and local populations and their circumstances. I see no reason one state's restrictive concealed carry laws should be overruled by another state's far more liberal concealed carry laws. This may also be just one more step toward federal gun registration, federal gun control, and federal gun confiscation. Warmest Regards, Sandy :)

SSgt Christopher Brose - If they qualified twice a year on a combat range - then I would be a lot happier with more qualified people carrying weapons. But, what we have now is the equivalent of a driver's license test valid for many years for weapons. I am frankly uncomfortable with so many unskilled people ready to shoot in public and/or private places where anyone I happen to care about may be at risk. Sandy

SSgt Christopher Brose - That is truly sad. Why don't they get more range time? S :)
p.s. Can we get new best practices standards set for twice a year range certification?

1LT Sandy Annala - Nope. I like the idea of people sharpening their skills on the range, but I don't want to condition anyone's rights on it. If your job requires it, fine. Otherwise, it would be like requiring people to re-take their driving test twice a year to keep their drivers' licenses. Do you worry about people on the road being years removed from their driving tests?

If someone has a right to do something, whether you are happy with it or comfortable with it is irrelevant. That's part of what makes it a right.
