Do you really want to see the influence of money in America? Just look at its entertainment industry. Ever since the world market for American films and music eclipsed the domestic market, the entertainment industry has been castigating America for the benefit of foreign investors and audiences to capture more profits, and they don't mind flaunting the practice in our faces. (Well, except for Country Music. Remember the Dixie Chicks? Who's heard of them since they began insulting our President in front of foreign audiences?)

Some celebrities come out with statements that I support , some are just way out there with no facts to further their cause.
I was once asked would I rather be a well known celebrity, or a lesser known intellect, both making the same amount. My answer was well known celebrity. Reason being is because the previous has a high influence. But I always remember "with great power comes great responsibility".

Love the question. I have never craved celebrity and when I see cases such as the recent murder of a YouTube singing sensation, Christina Grimmie, I am thankful that celebrity never much craved me.

The credibility given to entertainment celebrities astounds me. These knuckleheads testify before congress like they are subject matter experts on global warming and immigration. The newest trend is to have them give commentary on historical docu-dramas, as if they were credible historians. Matt Damon starred in a space movie. Let's make him the director of NASA.
I like to be entertained without the political agenda. I have to watch wildlife documentaries with the sound off because sooner or later I will be told that as a western, white, male above the age of thirty I am PERSONALLY responsible for every plant and animal extinction since the last ice age.
If I want someone to piss me off with their opinion I'll click on RP. Why are we the American public tolerating these mush heads and their "teachable moments"?
