PO1 William "Chip" Nagel - I saw the picture here on the internet showing just the hall left it said rest in peace 53 years. I can't believe the only got $900,000 for the Hull.

Ahhh this ship has a special place in my heart. She is directly the cause of the closest I ever came to dying in the Navy, when she lost rudder alongside and drifted to within 10 feet of us or so, before we accomplished the emergency breakaway. Good times, Long Beach, good times.
