USS Mobile completes trials; Austal warship ready for Navy

Austal USA reported Monday that LCS 26, the future USS Mobile, recently completed acceptance trials.
The trials are the last major milestone before Austal delivers the ship to the Navy. The Mobile is the third Austal-built ship to complete trials this year, after another Littoral Combat Ship, the future USS Oakland, in May and an Expeditionary Fast Transport, the future USNS Newport, in August. The Oakland was delivered to the Navy in June and the Newport in early September.

Built right here. I have enjoyed the rare occasion of seeing one coming in or out of Mobile Bay while out fishing.
Cool looking ships, not without her detractors. Not quite a frigate, but more that just a coastal patrol boat or even a corvette. But no torpedo or vertical launch capabilities.
