In 2017, President Trump signed the Vietnam War Veterans Recognition Act designating March 29 of each year as National Vietnam War Veterans Day. Our nation’s Vietnam War Commemoration is an opportunity for all Americans to recognize, honor, and thank our Vietnam Veterans and their families for their service and sacrifice during one of the longest wars in our country’s history.

As a post script, I'm a bit more than disappointed that more of our RP audience has breezed past this post. This is a big deal, as it should be. I figured birds of a feather would get it. I hope they will.

This is something that should have done long ago. We owe these folks a long over due "Thank you, and welcome home". This is a small step in making up for the BS they endured as they came hone to a country in turmoil, who had no idea what they had gone through.

Most Vietnam veterans never talked about the war or the negative homecoming, and still don’t. Out of sight, out of mind, and if they’re like me, it’s still that way. Thank you for your support and understanding.
