SGT (Join to see) Sounds like more dog and pony to cover their ass again or someone's cousin Joe needed a cushy well paying job paid for by the tax payers and this looked good for the times.Everyone is getting theirs at the veterans expense these days, whether it is VN Vets or the newer generations of Veterans. That is my opinion and i will stand by it.

I agree SSgt Terry P., Its all smoke and mirrors. Read my response to SSG Keith Cashion. This is a slap in all of our faces. Over fifty years later and they want to study our health! Bbuullsshhiitt...

Glad they are doing it finally, but not taking volunteers to be part of this is kind of stupid. Those that Have very little or any VA benefits from Vietnam should be able to at least put their name in the hat to be looked at or fill out the questionnaire. I have friends that are Vets from Vietnam and have no contact with the VA, and or cannot get any information from them.

Your not going to get much good information with only 43,000 people involved. Two thirds of those people weren't in Vietnam or they are civilians who were never in the service. It's a bunch of BS, so I'm not getting excited about it. It's been over 50 years and most of the Vietnam vets are already dead or have physical problems they got in Vietnam, but were never compensated for them. Tell me. How are vets never in Vietnam, or civilians never in the service going to help the Vietnam vets health issues. This is totally a bullshit CYA program.
