Not sure what the deal is, but I hope the VA can be fixed. In my opinion, replacing the leadership doesnt seem to be working. I feel its a major cultural issue. Some of the people that work at the VA that i have met do not care a bit about veterans. they only care about doing the least amount of work and not getting fired.

I think there are good VA centers and bad ones. Just as there are good hospital and bad. It is good that they are bringing these discrepancies to light, however, as many veterans rely heavily on VA healthcare.

I can't speak to the other facilities, but the doctor in Tomah, who was also the director was placed on administrative leave after the investigation began and was fired once it was complete. Congressional inquiries take a lot of time, and while they couldn't fire him while it was going on, he wasn't in the position to cause any additional harm. I know several providers in the Tomah facility that are excellent and take great pride in what they do. Definitely hold the violators feet to the fire, but don't think that they are all like that.
