I think the VA is making a mistake. Let all the people come to the VA Cemeteries. They just need to train the VA employees how to catch the Pokémon Trainers and put them into pokeball holding areas. Then the VA employees can hand out scrub brushes and tell them when they are finished scrubbing a headstone clean a special egg can be acquired. This special egg hatches two pokemon and gives you triple XP. Here us what the VA does not realize: with free labor every headstone in every VA Cemetery will be clean within a week. The XP gained by the pokemon trainer is getting to know a Veteran by rank/name, date of birth and death, branch of military, and any Wars served in. This would add Value to our society.

The Pokemon Company can use the Pokémon Go app to start a movement to help Veterans. They could make new Pokémon that could only be acquired in VA Hospital parking lots. Them the Gym would be located at the flagpole in front of the VA Hospital. There would be a Veteran Pokémon at the Gym and the Pokémon Trainers could battle with the new Pokémon they got from the parking lot. The Pokémon Trainers could battle the Veteran Pokémon with Depression Pokémon, Anxiety Pokémon, PTSD Pokeman, Homeless Pokémon, Hungry Pokémon, Isolated Pokémon, Pain Pokémon, Nightmare Pokémon, Flashback Pokémon, Maimed Pokémon, Anger Pokeman, and Jobless Veteran. If the Pokeman Trainer wins the battle, a means he comes up that states, "Veteran's fight many battles everyday, and sometimes they lose that battle. There are 20 Veterans that die by suicide every day. You can do something to help - are you ready and willing?" Then there should be a statement, "Please say the Pledge of Allegiance to the U.S. Flag before you depart."
If the Veteran Pokémon wins the battle then this is displayed, "I made it one more day battling all these things that try to take me down. I do not want to become part of the 20 Veterans that die by suicide each day. Please do something to help."
Also, the request to say the Pledge of Allegiance to the U.S. Flag before departing.
This brings awareness and would spark some people into asking, "What can I do to help." This would add Value to our society.
