VA Whistleblower: ‘They Are Still Manipulating Data’

Interesting how they don't allow you to place comments on the story....ha!
Lets give some insight here from someone who does this for a living on a daily basis shall we? AGAIN, we take what ONE persons view or assumption is and make it a fact.... sigh. Here is the actual procedure....for enquiring minds.....
Family member comes in with Veterans Death Cert, we do the paperwork to notify ALL of our Veterans passing. We let their doctor know, and we make their address undeliverable (so that the spouse and family member doesn't receive a reminder that they need to make an appt in the future) and we stop pending medications, and we take out pending appointments, as the Veteran cannot make this apt, and it can be given to another Veteran AND we take out the reminder card that is sent to our Veterans to remind them they are due for their 6, 12 or whatever monthly visit. Its in NO WAY fun to do, and I myself have had to process many of these and I cry the whole time doing it for the passing of a brother or a sister, not only that but men and women we have come to know and see often, talk to and CARE FOR in our daily lives.
When we enter the cancellation it is listed as being cancelled DUE TO THE DEATH of this Veteran. How in the hell can anyone come to the conclusion from that procedure that the Veterans that have passed away are cancelling their own appointments? It is absurd and beyond ignorant. Have the fool that wrote this article do some more research instead of just taking what one person says and making it a fact. FYI Show me the VA POLICY or ANY policy that states you cannot cancel an appointment for a Veteran who has passed away. Also show me any family member of a Veteran that WANTS to receive mail and appointment reminders from the VA for their loved one they have lost 3 months down the road?
It isn't to cover any damn thing up, and I will tell that to this so called whistleblowers face who by the way DOES NOT access scheduling, DOES NOT schedule appointments and has NO IDEA how that software system even works, so it amazes me that he claims to be some expert that knows what's going on....again Ill tell that to his face.
Also, SHOW ME the policy claimed to be referencing this that people are violating? The author has lead the reader to believe that there is a policy in this that is being violated. Tell that chick I want to see her research....then laugh at her because she is a liar and will not be able to produce something she made up.
As I have said before, ONE persons opinion is NOT fact in most cases if not all. I said before I will say it again, if I had a bad day and had a women's health appt at the VA, and decided that my doctor doesn't like me, its MY OPINION, but I take it to a PUBLIC forum and say, The VA hates me cuz IM a female. What will that turn in to??? Well Ill tell you what it will turn in to.
NEWS ALERT SCANDAL SCANDAL THE VA HATES WOMEN VETERANS AND THEY ARE DYING BECASUE THEY ARE MAKING THEM WAIT FOR AN APPOINTMENT! (This is NOT TRUE only a HYPOTHETICAL situation for those of you that only half read things).
In return, it will be all over the news, they will find a couple Female Veterans with bad attitudes that need a few bucks to plaster all over the news about their opinion, Sec. McDonald will have to "step down/resign" in shame....blah blah etc etc

Deplorable!

Again never trust the VA! I have watched this since I was a teenager and helping my grandfather and his WWII and Korea buddies through the Spokane VA. They wont change short of a firing squad, or being put in front of a firing squad lol.
