The thing with socialism and communism is someone has to be in charge and they want more than what they are willing to give you. Do you think those who ruled the communist party in the USSR settled for what they gave their citizens. So you think those in power in Venezuela where starving and doing without basic services. Those in power will do what ever it takes to stay in power and luxury that power affords. Damn with the rest of the people under them.
