Seriously, when people want to do things that most don't do and they are within the law, they should carry a copy of the statute with them. I bet that someone complained and the manager didn't know the law. I wouldn't take someone's word about a law either.

CW5 Jack Cardwell I think the main thing here was the "confrontation" and not so much the knife. I do believe that he had the right to carry the weapon but the McDonalds manager had a right to do what he did too. With everything that is going on in society today everyone is erring on the side of caution.
