Thanks for mentioning and honoring US Army veteran of the Normandy Utah Beach landings on June 6 or 7, 1944 Rollo Worden who served with the 4th Infantry division SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL While he was not part of the initial wave the fact that he landed on Utah Beach after leaping into 12 feet of ocean water demonstrates that he was part of the invasion effort as much as he possibly could.
Kudos to Rollo Worden.

We learned out lessons from Dieppe. The allies were secretly trying to get the Enigma machine from the German Navy but to attack a reinforced harbor was a bad idea. It failed.
US Army Rangers participated and got out. Most Canadians did not.
