Generally speaking (in my opinion) there are some true statements in this article and some good advice for crafting your resume. However, as an Employer and an advocate for hiring vets, I can tell you that a lot of my clients look at my candidates for the 'value add' that a vet can bring to the company and culture and the salary requirement is secondary. In my experience, "profit" is not only monetary, the company can profit from the motivation, structure, work ethics, high standards and mentoring abilities that a vet can bring to the team.

100% correct, COL. You may not realize that when you are applying for a job, but that is the main criteria for hiring. Do your research on the company and job. Identify in your resume and in the interview how you will contribute to the bottom line, in a direct or indirect capacity. When I went to senior management for staff increased, that is what I committed to in order to add staff. More revenue and my job and Evans were on the line, if I didn't produce.

I agree with this. This is ultimately how things work. I make a decent wage with the type of operations I support in my organization.
