Veterans Speak Out Against The Militarization Of Sports

This article speaks to the problem of major sports teams and their promotion of patriotism and how it has become the main focus of sports these days. I was always used to seeing displays of patriotism at Memorial Day, the 4th of July and Veterans Day. Now it seems it is every weekend and sometime several times during the week. It has become big business for the sports teams in their hawking of military related gear with team logos. As usual there are two sides to the story and this does present them it's up to the reader to decide. One quote from the article asks: "Where do sports go from here?
