Hi! I’m The Pension Guy, but you can call me TPG. Welcome to my little corner of the Internet – with very special thanks to the Victory for Veterans Foundation for providing said corner – where you can find real-world answers about the VA Pension program. Before I tackle some Frequently Asked Questions, I’d like to do a little housekeeping.
WHAT THIS BLOG IS: If you are a Veteran over 65, their spouse or family member, this blog has the potential to be a go-to resource. In addition, if you are in administration at an assisted living or skilled nursing facility, I could also be of assistance. Maybe you have Veteran or surviving spouse residents for whom money is tight – this program could be part of the solution.
WHAT THIS BLOG IS NOT: My largest area of expertise is VA Pension. Sometimes, the Pension program spills over into Burial benefits, and the Fiduciary process. Those are the VA benefits generally under discussion. I would love to help everyone, but things like Education, Home Loan, and other VA benefits are not really in my wheelhouse.
Welcome aboard again. This first post is designed to be an introduction, along with some answers and some thoughts on what you can expect.

It looks like there is a lot of good information there. I've saved a tab on My computer so I can further reference the information. I'm also the Veteran's service Officer for our American Legion Post and 6 term Commander. and don't have all the answers, this should help.Thank You for Posting this.

COL Mikel J. Burroughs - Thank You Sir ! It looks like a good source of information and it good to know there are some people out their willing to share their knowledge. Another good thing, in Massachusetts every city and Town in the state has a paid veteran's service Officer who get trained by the office of the Secretary of Veteran's affairs for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Our Veteran's service Officer for the Town is not only a member of our Legion Post but also a retired TSgt in the USAF. She had worked at Base Legal Office at Hanscom AFB, MA before Her retirement and She already had a great deal of knowledge. Another member of our Post assists Her at the Town Veteran's service office. I have already worked closely with the Town's veteran service officer and Her assistant, also a former USAF NCO who is also the Adjutant on the American Legion post I'm a member of. There is a lot to know and I appreciate the information.
